ZEISS Warm Eye Masks apply gentle heat to the eyelids, relaxing and stimulating the meibomian glands in the eyes. This helps to soften or melt the meibum, allowing it to be released more easily. This decreases the evaporation of tear fluid reducing painful dry eye symptoms. They are a single-use and individually wrapped for both hygiene and convenience.
How does it work?
- The thin heating element (made from iron powder, active carbon, salt and water) is packed and laminated to form a thin film inside an air-and steam-permeable membrane.
- Opening the package gradually introduces oxygen which allows a reaction with the iron powder, generating heat and steam.
- This simple, safe reaction produces warmth and steam for up to 15 minutes after opening the package.
- They are designed to reach and apply the desired meibum-melting temperature for a consistent period of time.

How do You use it?
Open the sachet and remove the ZEISS Warm Eye Mask, the mask will start heating automatically. It should be used immediately after opening the sachet. Unfold the ZEISS Warm Eye Mask and place it over the eyes, securing the loops around the ears. Close the eyes, lie or sit back and relax for 15 minutes.
Can i Use Eye Drop with eye mask?
Eye drops should not be used for 20 minutes before or after using the ZEISS Warm Eye Mask. Users should consult their eye care specialist before using, and should read and follow all use instructions on the packaging.
How does it heat up?
The ZEISS Warm Eye Mask heats up automatically as soon as it is removed from the sachet and exposed to air. The mask should never be put in a microwave or reheated in any other way to avoid the risk of fire.
